Yep…ANOTHER Water Main Break

Cleveland, OH - Breaking news out of Cleveland this hour.There is a 30-inch watermain break on Brookpark Road at Rocky River Drive.

The break happened Thursday evening.

19 Action News has learned the sewers are blocked due to the snow so there is standing water.

Officials say the weather is the likely culprit behind the latest city break.

The road is still passable with only one lane closed.

Salt trucks have been out to the scene several times to help combat the frigid temperatures.

City Hall Requests that Employers Dismiss Employees Due to Snow

Downtown Cleveland: In an effort to be proactive with the current snow storm, Mayor Jackson is asking for a staggered release of employees from Downtown this afternoon. City Hall recommends the following time schedule in order to help the flow of traffic out of Downtown:

·        State and Federal Offices – 1:30pm

·        City and County  Offices – 2:30pm

·        Businesses – after 3:00pm

As a reminder, the City of Cleveland’s parking ban is in effect. If you are parked in the street, you must move your vehicle in order to allow snow plows full access to the road.

The Akron Zoo is NOT Open For You

Akron Zoo closed today 

           

AKRON, Ohio - Due to current weather conditions the Akron Zoo will be closed today, Thursday, January 28, 2009. The Akron Zoo, which is home to over 700 animals from around the world, is open 361 days a year. Regular hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and admission is $6.00 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $2.00.            The Akron Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Association (AZA). I-480 Closed

BROOKPARK, OHIO — An accident has caused a portion of Interstate 480 to close. The highway caused a pole and a wire to be downed. The highway is closed between West 130th Street and West 150th.

Life  Lesson# 45893 = Always check your child’s

homework  before it gets to school!  
 

READ  BELOW AFTER YOU SEE THE  PHOTO.

The  teacher sent home a note that she didn’t think it  was

appropriate for a child that age to be depicting  her mother on a

dance pole in a strip club with men  waiting with dollar bills to

put in her thong . .  ..

The next day, the child returned with a  note from mom:

“Sorry,  Ms. James. That’s NOT a dance pole onstage in a  strip

joint!
 

I work at Home Depot and that’s me  selling a shovel. - Mrs. 

Smith.”
